Tis the Season!

Every year, the Christmas season seems to creep up on me in a hurry.  In reflecting on this holiday season in the years past, I have been more than fortunate and blessed to have been surrounded by wonderful family and friends.

It always amazes me how much growth can happen to an individual in one year.  Whether personal, professional or spiritual, these events are the catalysts to keep us excited, anxious and hungry for what the next year has in store.

Personally, this year has been filled with several big milestones on so many levels.  From setting a new personal record in a marathon, beginning a new career, getting engaged and most recently purchasing a home.  Everything that I could ever want in life I am fortunate to have at this very moment.  There is no stocking stuffer or gift that could bring more joy to the Christmas season than all of the opportunities I have created for myself in the past year.

WineryAs I spend my third consecutive Christmas with my fiancé and future in laws (in the ever so beautiful San Diego), I realize that life doesn’t get any better than this!  It is the perfect time to remove myself from the day to day tasks and demands that sometimes take precedence over other facets of my life.

For the next week, I am going to make it a personal goal of mine to cherish each moment and be ‘in the moment’ with all that is happening.  I am going to listen more than I speak, praise more than I judge, and relax more than I stress.

I understand this week’s post isn’t lengthy or full of content.  More so, I don’t think it should be.  No matter where you are or who you’re with, my challenge to each of you is to simply rejoice and cherish the next week.  Be with family, rest your body, and fill your days with love and happiness!

Blessings to all of you and your families, and thank you for continuing to follow these postings week after week!
